SLP - Speech Language Pathologist: Elementary Starting Date: September 1, 2026 Job Description Haverhill Public Schools, Haverhill, Massachusetts 01830. Anticipated opening for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports student speech and language development and provides services under Individual Education Programs (IEPs). Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision to speech-language assistants. Evaluate students with suspected communication disorders and offer services to students with IEPs. Treat applications of therapies to cure, alleviate, or prevent speech disorders. Serve as a resource to school staff in developing balanced language programs. Use evidence-based multi-sensory approaches to create individualized education programs. Consult with teachers about students demonstrating communication disabilities. Maintain thorough, qualitative and quantitative records for all students receiving services. Organize the speech program in assigned schools. Plan therapy schedules for groups or individuals, based on classification and severity. Provide evaluations for team meetings. Congregate parents via semi-annual progress reports. Attend team meetings as requested. Complete individualized education plans when required. Perform other instructional and general duties as directed by the Principal, Director of Special Education, and Superintendent. Qualifications Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – Speech Language and Hearing Disorders (Required). Licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure – Speech Language Pathologist (Required). Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an SLP. Other alternatives as determined by the Superintendent. Benefits Competitive Salary: $56,473 (B Step 1) to $112,526 (M75 Step 14).
