20-room Emergency Department
4 physicians in practice
Nursery Level I

Patient & Delivery Volume

Average deliveries: 1 per day
C-section rate: 30%
Nursery admissions: approximately 1 per day
1:4 call rotation

Clinical ResponsibilitiesObstetrics

Low-risk pregnancy management
Routine vaginal deliveries
Decision-making for C-sections
Complicated deliveries including:
- C-sections
- Breech deliveries
- Multiple births
- Abruptions
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations as needed

Fetal Monitoring & Ultrasound

NST interpretation
FSE interpretation
OB ultrasound performance and interpretation:
- Level I/Screening
- Level II/Targeted Anatomy

Not Required

High-risk pregnancy management
VBACs
Amniocentesis

Certifications & RequirementsRequired Certifications

BLS
ACLS

Board Requirements

Board Certified OR truly Board Eligible
- Must be within 1 year of graduation if Board Eligible

Residency Requirement

ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency required

Licensure

Active Ohio license required
