The shipping and receiving associate is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and safe handling of all inbound and outbound materials. This role supports warehouse operations by receiving deliveries, preparing products for shipment, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail oriented, and experienced in warehouse logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving operations — Unload incoming shipments, inspect materials for accuracy and damage, verify packing lists, and document all received goods.
• Shipping preparation — Pick, pack, and box products according to order requirements; ensure all items are labeled and prepared for timely shipment.
• Forklift operation — Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and organize materials.
• Pallet loading — Build, wrap, and secure pallets for outbound shipments to ensure stability and prevent damage.
• Shrink wrapping — Apply shrink wrap to pallets and individual products as needed to protect items during transport.
• Inventory support — Assist with cycle counts, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Documentation and accuracy — Complete shipping logs, receiving reports, and internal tracking forms with precision.
• Safety and cleanliness — Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company and OSHA safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Clean background check — Must pass a pre‑employment background screening.
• Shipping and receiving experience — Prior hands‑on experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Forklift experience — Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Physical capability — Able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail — Strong accuracy in counting, labeling, and documentation.
• Teamwork and reliability — Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Knowledge of freight carriers and shipping platforms
• Basic computer skills for logging and tracking shipments
