Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students with speech and language needs in a vibrant educational environment near Bossier City, LA. This full-time opportunity is tailored for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and is passionate about helping children discover their voice and thrive in the classroom. You will deliver essential speech and language services to children from age 3 through 12, with occasional support for high school students, making a significant impact every day.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with a caseload spanning early childhood through elementary, with possible high school involvement
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to different student needs and learning environments

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions for students with speech and language disorders
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with state/local requirements
  • Offering support and strategies to classroom staff and families for student success
  • Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Highlights of the Role:

  • Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexible daily start (7:30 - 8:00 am) and end times (3:30 - 4:00 pm)
  • Long-term assignment running ASAP through May 20, 2027
