$48.2k - $63kSESI Schools
Company Overview Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, is a premier provider of education services for K–12 students who require additional educational and behavioral supports. SESI partners with school districts to run classrooms on‑site within district boundaries and standalone schools that meet the academic, behavioral and social‑emotional needs of special and alternative education students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and other challenges. Overview What you can expect to do. Advance student potential—and your own—as you collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized services and support to small groups of students, monitor behavior, track progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through a proven model. Direct Student Support and Mentorship Build trusting, consistent relationships with students through daily check‑ins, one‑on‑one meetings, and informal interactions throughout the school day. Serve as a go‑to adult for students navigating academic, social, or personal challenges, providing guidance, encouragement, and a safe space to be heard. Actively engage students in hallways, common areas, classrooms, and during transitions to foster a sense of belonging and connection to school. Identify students who are disengaged, struggling, or at risk, and proactively initiate supportive conversations and interventions. Facilitate small group discussions, check‑in/check‑out meetings, and student circles focused on goal‑setting, social‑emotional development, and school success. Celebrate student achievements, milestones, and positive behaviors to reinforce motivation and self‑confidence. Behavior Management and Positive School Climate Implement and consistently apply the school’s behavior management framework, including restorative practices, PBIS strategies, and tiered support systems. Respond calmly and effectively to student behavioral concerns, de‑escalating conflict situations using trauma‑informed and culturally responsive approaches. Conduct restorative conversations with students following behavioral incidents, helping them reflect on impact and develop accountability and repair strategies. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop individualized behavior support plans for students with recurring behavioral challenges. Monitor behavior data and trends to identify students who may benefit from additional support or intervention. Model and reinforce positive social behaviors, conflict resolution skills, and self‑regulation strategies throughout daily interactions. Support students during high‑stress moments such as transitions between classes, lunch, unstructured time, and before/after school. Family Engagement and Communication Serve as a warm, approachable point of contact for families, building ongoing relationships through regular communication and check‑ins. Reach out proactively to families when a student is struggling behaviorally, academically, or emotionally, partnering with them on support strategies. Connect students and families to appropriate school counselors, social workers, and community resources based on identified needs. Participate in student support meetings, family conferences, and IEP/504 meetings as a student advocate and relationship holder. Program and Administrative Support Maintain student records, participation logs, and behavior documentation in school information systems. Assist with scheduling, materials preparation, and logistics for student programs and events. Generate brief reports on student engagement and behavioral trends to support team planning. Perform other duties as assigned in support of student success and school operations. What We Offer Diverse career pathways, mobility across our national network, and ongoing professional and leadership development. Paid training, tuition reimbursement, and credentialing support. Data‑driven, evidence‑based learning and instructional models, including SESI’s PBIS framework called CASE. Comprehensive benefits, including healthcare, 401(k) with employer match, employee assistance program, mental health support, fertility and family building, and more. Smaller class sizes in diverse educational settings. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.
