Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean assigned patient rooms and ancillary areas daily using appropriate cleaning agents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and janitor closets.
• Complete daily cleaning logs accurately and submit them to supervisors.
• Report any maintenance, safety, or equipment issues promptly to the appropriate department.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential.

Experience

0-3 months of housekeeping or floor care experience, which can be gained through on-the-job training or previous roles.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Good communication skills and ability to organize work effectively.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hospital policies and procedures.
• Comfort working with cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment safely.
• Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
