Assistant Principal (High School) JOB GOAL
To assist with the management of the assigned school through the use of leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills and to promote the educational development of each student and the professional development of the total staff. QUALIFICATIONS
Holds a valid Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate administrative endorsement, has a minimum of a master's degree, has strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and meets health and physical requirements. REPORTS TO Building Principal

This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: pushing and/or pulling, stooping and/or kneeling, reaching and/or handling, talking, hearing, and seeing. WORK CONDITIONS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school;
- Serves as the principal in the absence of the regular principal;
- Attends training sessions and workshops to update information;
- Attends work regularly and on-time; and
- Performs tasks and assumes responsibility as the principal may direct.
- Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure;
- Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control, and/or planning of an activity;
- Adaptability to working with people beyond giving and receiving instructions; and
- Adaptability to making generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based upon sensory or judgmental criteria.
