JANSON is a female-founder-led organization built around mission, service, integrity, accountability, and purpose, and we are seeking a values-driven, commercially minded Director of Operations to help build the operational foundation required to scale the Company beyond $60M in annual revenue while maintaining strong EBITDA performance, exceptional customer service, and the culture that has defined JANSON for nearly 30 years.

The Director of Operations will work closely with JANSON’s Founder & CEO and leadership team to translate vision and growth objectives into disciplined execution. The Director will help establish the organizational structure, processes, accountability, financial discipline, talent strategy, and operating rhythms necessary for JANSON’s next stage of growth.

The successful candidate must work effectively alongside a highly engaged Founder & CEO, respect the values that shapeher leadership, and bring the confidence and business maturity to offer candid counsel, appropriately challenge assumptions, and convert strategy into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish operating disciplines around revenue, gross margin, utilization, labor, overhead, project performance, forecasting, and profitability. 
• Help develop and execute the operational roadmap required to scale JANSON beyond $60M in revenue while protecting EBITDA and cash performance. 
• Translate CEO and executive priorities into clear operating plans, metrics, accountability, and results. 
• Ensure JANSON’s commitment to service excellence is consistently throughout corporate functions and BU’s.
• Evaluate organizational structure, leadership capacity, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure JANSON scales efficiently rather than simply adding overhead. 
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce unnecessary costs, eliminate inefficiencies, and increase operating leverage. 
• Strengthen project and program execution, including schedule, quality, customer satisfaction, resource planning, and financial performance. 
• Build scalable processes and systems without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy into JANSON’s entrepreneurial culture. 
• Partner with business leaders to ensure investments in people and infrastructure have a clear connection to revenue growth, customer delivery, risk reduction, or profitability. 
• Anticipate operational challenges and bring forward solutions before they become barriers to growth. 
• Serve as a trusted operational partner to the Founder & CEO and leadership team. 

The Leader We Are Looking For

This person must bring a combination of operational excellence, financial acumen, leadership maturity, and servant leadership.

We are looking for someone who:

• Proven experience leading operations at the $50M to $100M+ level, with a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional results through disciplined execution, strategic focus, proactive risk management, agility, and a passion for mission excellence.
• Is willing to roll up their sleeves to support day-to-day execution in a lean, rapidly growing organization that requires leaders to lead, manage and personally execute.
• Understands that revenue growth without disciplined margins and EBITDA is not success. 
• Can determine what JANSON should build internally, what should be outsourced, and where leaders and teams can effectively carry broader responsibilities. 
• Understands government contracts, FAR and DFAR requirements, project economics, labor utilization, overhead management, forecasting, and operational KPIs. 
• Leads with integrity, humility, accountability, urgency, and service. 
• Develops people rather than simply managing them. 
• Is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where leaders are expected to be hands-on. 
• Has a genuine passion for JANSON's mission and wants to help build the next generation of the Company.
