Operations Manager The Details: Location: San Diego, CA Position: Operations Manager Schedule: Full Time Salary: $80,000 - $87,000 Requirements: Driver's license required, minimum 2 years The Spirit of the Position Operations Manager oversees the operations for assigned location(s), under the direction of the Senior Operations Manager to ensure 24/7 professional parking management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Operations Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned location. Principal Job Duties Assist with the management and development of the location(s) team to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives, while embodying and using LAZ Parking culture as a guideline. Identify high potential employees to support the organization’s continued growth. Support Facilities Managers with time entries into payroll system, scheduling shifts, training, etc. Responsible for payroll processing; ensuring sign off on hours in a timely manner; collaborate with the local payroll department to ensure pay data is completed properly; work with Human Resources Manager to ensure proper wage and hour compliance. Assist with the opening of newly assigned locations. Responsible for financial management of assigned location ensuring adherence to budget and revenue enhancements as it relates to staffing, scheduling, and operational expenses. Responsible for developing client relationships and business retention. Assist the region with the operations preparation for potential new locations as it relates to facility services, etc. Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports as required. Ensure that increased revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction are maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of our various clients. Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of Team Leaders and frontline staff. Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location. Communicate with local police department and emergency management teams related to claims and daily operation. Assist with the monitoring, review, and analysis of the market rate structures. Additional duties as assigned. Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required Experience 2+ years in a Management or Supervisory role. Experience leading a group of 10-20 individuals. Previous experience working in high-stress situations with tight deadlines/high customer expectations. Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office 365 Suite. 1+ year prior experience in payroll and bookkeeping is preferred. Skills Supervisory experience is required. Intermediate computer literacy required, advanced computer literacy desired. Demonstrated experience in administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, use of office equipment, responding to inquiries, etc. Ability to seek improvement and create an environment of idea sharing and creative problem solving. Capable of handling employee conflict, following grievance procedures, mediating and conflict resolution. Strong customer service skills and abilities. Ability to be approachable and facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers. Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges. Ability to encourage open expression of ideas and opinions. Excellent team building and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and multi-task. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Physical Demands Willingness to work in the elements: heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects of at least 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time, up to the entire length of shift. Consistently spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift. Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly. Regularly work on repetitive tasks. Frequently use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects. Frequently see details of objects that are less than a few feet away. Able to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists and arms. Able to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.
