What You'll Do

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room
• Assess patient needs and support their safety before, during, and after procedures
• Assist surgeons and healthcare team members during surgeries
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure all equipment is properly disinfected and set up
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in line with hospital protocols
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure smooth surgical workflow

What You Need

• Required:
  • Current RN license in Louisiana
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Prior OR experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
• Preferred:
  • Leadership skills or experience supervising others
  • Additional certifications in perioperative nursing (if applicable)
