Senior Project Manager

Location: Hickory, NC Compensation: $120,000–$180,000 + Vehicle Allowance Position Overview We are partnering with an established mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple mechanical construction projects from planning through completion. This position requires a strong background in mechanical and HVAC systems, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for project financials, scheduling, field execution, customer communication, and overall project performance. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who can effectively manage project teams, maintain strong customer relationships, and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple mechanical construction projects simultaneously from startup through closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls. Oversee HVAC, piping, plumbing, and related mechanical scopes. Coordinate with Superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams. Monitor labor, materials, equipment, productivity, and overall project performance. Review drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Manage procurement and ensure materials and equipment are available to support project schedules. Identify potential project risks, cost issues, and scheduling challenges and develop solutions. Lead project meetings and maintain regular communication with owners, general contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders. Manage change orders, billing, documentation, and project closeout. Maintain strong customer relationships throughout each project. Ensure projects meet expectations for safety, quality, schedule, and profitability. Qualifications 7+ years of Project Management experience in mechanical construction or a related environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems. Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience managing projects from planning and mobilization through completion and closeout. Strong understanding of project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, contracts, and change management. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications. Experience coordinating field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Mechanical contractor experience preferred. Base salary of $120,000–$180,000, depending on experience. Vehicle allowance.
