Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Nursing Unit Secretary – NICU, Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital MaineHealth | Maine Medical Center Location: 22 Bramhall Street, Portland, ME Schedule: Weekend Requirement : Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday – Day shift and Friday and Saturday – Night Shift). Holiday Requirement : Every third major holiday group (summer and winter holidays), assigned based on department needs at the time of hire. Remote: On-site only (no remote flexibility) This is a 36 hour per week/NIGHT shift position. NICU uses a self-scheduling process in 8-week scheduling blocks. The only shifts that are predetermined are your required weekends and holidays. Team members are assigned to a weekend rotation (every third weekend) and a holiday rotation (every third major summer/winter holiday) based on department needs at the time of hire. For the remaining shifts, you'll submit your preferred schedule for the 8-week period. Leadership then reviews all requests and balances the schedule to ensure staffing needs are met. The finalized schedule is typically posted about 30 days before it takes effect.
