Service Engineer

Job Description

JSG is seeking a Field Service Engineer located in the Orlando FL vicinity. This is for a client based in Voorhees NJ
This dynamic position offers the opportunity to travel across North America, working hands-on with state-of-the-art equipment, conducting system startups, troubleshooting, and delivering impactful operator training. Pay $80K

Required Skills:

• Mechanical engineering background (4-year degree preferred, or 2-year degree with relevant experience)
• Experience with PLCs and automation systems is highly advantageous
• Proficiency in working with piping, motor-controlled valves, pumps, and programmable controllers
• Strong organizational, documentation, and writing skills
• Competence in MS Office applications
• Valid passport for international travel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional attitude with excellent communication skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with programming adjustments to PLCs and HMIs
• Familiarity with field digital and analog instruments such as pH probes and flow meters
• Skills in welding plastics and repairing fiberglass
• Experience in developing standard operating procedures and training materials

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Technical school certification demonstrating hands-on skills with piping, pumps, and automation systems
• Prior experience in startup, performance testing, or servicing odor control or similar systems

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel approximately 70% across North America, primarily within the USA, with potential international trips
• Ability to carry out system startup, troubleshooting, performance testing, and calibration duties
• Eagerness to continuously upgrade skills in PLC programming and system controls
