Plant Controller - Buford, GAA hands-on accounting leader with strong manufacturing and cost accounting expertise who thrives in a fast-paced plant environment.Position Overview:The Plant Controller will play a critical leadership role overseeing all accounting functions within the plant, ensuring compliance with GAAP, supporting operational decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across financial processes. This individual will act as a key partner to plant leadership while also serving as the primary contact for external audits.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Financial ReportingLead all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and fixed assetsOversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timelinessPrepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAPMaintain ownership of the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and completenessReview journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentationEnsure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled and supportedInventory & Cost AccountingOversee inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory processesEnsure accurate accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goodsSupport standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing accuracyPartner closely with plant operations to align financial reporting with production activityQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience3–5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teamsStrong manufacturing experience, including cost and inventory accounting requiredExperience supporting plant operations strongly preferredERP experience in a manufacturing environment requiredCPA preferredIf you're interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to discuss your qualifications, please apply now.
