SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTANT

DutiesSupervises functions involving the preparation, analysis, interpretation and presentation of accounting data; the operation, maintenance, and modification of systems to meet local needs.Coordinates, and implements policy and procedural improvements, as warranted, to correct identified operational deficiencies.Maintains a corporate perspective of accounting programs and activities and a direct liaison with customers to mutually assess the effectiveness of accounting services in meeting their budget execution and financial management information needs.Reviews and analyzes new or revised accounting policies and procedures which affect program operations ensuring that sound accounting principles are applied.Plans and assigns work to be accomplished based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and employees' capabilities, including setting/adjusting short-term priorities and schedules for completion of work.
