DESCRIPTION Southern Yacht Club is seeking a skilled and passionate Experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with safety regulations
- Execute meal preparation efficiently during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, utensils, and equipment for smooth workflow
- Collaborate with chef to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and kitchen areas throughout shifts
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and health regulations at all times
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to quality service and presentation
