Senior Technical Analyst - RDBMS, ETL/ELT & AI/ML (W2 Only)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead workshops with stakeholders to document processes, pain points, user stories, functional specs, acceptance criteria.
Perform feasibility analysis for AI/ML, automation, decisioning, workflow optimization.
Develop process maps (BPMN), system flows, data lineage, integration docs.
Translate business requirements into technical specs: APIs, data flows, validation rules, model inputs/outputs.
Analyze apps, databases, integrations, AWS environments for solution design.
Collaborate with architects, developers, data scientists, engineers on requirements interpretation.
Define data needs, metrics, rules, validation logic, AI/ML model behavior with teams.
Lead AI pilots/POCs: define metrics, track outcomes, document lessons for scale-up.
Conduct root cause analysis; recommend improvements for accuracy, efficiency, compliance, UX.
Support dashboarding, analytics KPIs, reporting for leadership.
Support UAT, traceability, defect triage, business sign-offs.
Partner with QA for testing coverage, especially AI scenarios.
Liaise between business, IT, vendors, SMEs for alignment.
Produce status updates, docs, executive summaries.
Support training, SOPs, knowledge transfer, rollouts.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills:

10+ years functional/technical analysis for enterprise apps, data solutions.
10+ years BRDs, FSDs, user stories, workflow diagrams, system docs.
7+ years data analysis (structured/unstructured); interpret for decisions.
7+ years complex SQL, query optimization, RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
5+ years data warehouses, ETL/ELT, data modeling.
5+ years statistics/ML on datasets: validation, iteration.
5+ years data libraries (Python, pandas); CI/CD/MLOps exposure.
5+ years evaluating AI tools/frameworks/vendors; recommendations.
7+ years leading pilots/POCs, metrics, scale-up/roadmap planning.
5+ years AI/ML concepts, automation frameworks, data fundamentals.

Functional Skills:

Feasibility studies and solution design translation.
Root cause analysis and process optimization.

Behavioral Skills:

Strong collaboration and liaison across stakeholders.
Leadership in workshops, pilots, and documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
10+ years total relevant experience.
NY local resident preferred.
English native or bilingual proficiency.
