Senior Human Resources Generalist

We are working with a client to identify a Senior HR Generalist for a federal contractor in San Diego, CA. This is a hybrid role, working three days on-site. The Senior HR Generalist will conduct the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including, but not limited to: employment, compensation, benefits and leave, payroll, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. This is a hands-on role ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being both strategic and operational.Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.In this role, you will:Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures, prepare and maintain employee handbook, and ensure compliance across state, federal, and industry requirements.Provide employee support through the employee lifecycle including onboarding, employee morale, talent development, and offboarding.Manage employment related issues including performance management, employee and leadership coaching, investigations, discipline, and terminations.Partner with the talent team to support succession & workforce planning to ensure the organization has the right talent pipeline in place, identifying critical roles, assessing readiness, and anticipating future staffing needs.Perform benefit administration to include managing our benefit relationships, coordinating with our benefits broker for selection and implementation and identifying new and innovative total rewards programs.Conduct annual compensation analysis to make recommendations for annual reviews, new hires, and conduct internal audits.Build best practices, establish standard operating procedures, and measure success of people and culture initiatives through employee feedback and analytics while continuously seeking process improvement through the use of technology and AI.Support internal employee communication initiatives.Own and manage the technology platforms for HR such as the HRIS platform.Create and implement people and culture initiatives to drive employee morale, strengthen our culture, and be known as a top employer of choice internally and externally.The ideal candidate possesses:6+ years related HR experience, both operational and strategic..Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or other discipline (required).Experience handling HR responsibilities with a small organization.Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations.Experience in creating, implementing and administering people and culture programs.Must have demonstrated success in operational and strategic HR support. xhyhwjd Exceptional project and personnel management skillsExcellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environmentProficiency in MS Suite including Word, Excel and Power Point is essentialExhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team and maintain sensitive data and information.Experience working with a federal contractor(desired)SHRM-CP or PHR certification (desired)
