Dental hygienist

Overview: A private, fee-for-service dental practice in the Poughkeepsie community is seeking a dedicated and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist for a full-time or part-time role. The practice emphasizes high-quality dentistry and meaningful, long-term relationships with patients.
Duties and Responsibilities: The hygienist must work independently providing exceptional care to patients of all age groups. Core responsibilities include taking high-quality digital dental X-rays, proficient soft tissue management, administering local anesthesia, and conducting in-office bleaching procedures like Zoom whitening. The ideal candidate will feel highly comfortable using office computers, specialized software, and intraoral cameras to assist with patient co-diagnosis and education. Strong teamwork, excellent communication skills, and an adaptable approach are essential.

full-time $55 - $60 per hour

• Experienced Dental Hygienist (3+ years)
• Licensed dental hygienist
• Local Anesthesia Certification
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

License Status: Must hold a valid Registered Dental Hygienist state license.
Qualitative Traits: Dedicated, motivated, highly personable, good at building relationships, flexible to practice and patient needs, and passionate about growth.
Competencies: Ability to work independently with patients of all ages, proficient in taking X-rays, soft tissue management, in-office bleaching (Zoom), co-diagnosis, comfortable with computers, software, and intraoral cameras.

Software Proficiency: Experience with Softdent is a plus.
