Make a meaningful impact by supporting a 6th-grade student as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments. This contract position offers a part-time schedule with flexible, focused involvement. You’ll work directly with one student, helping them access curriculum and thrive in their classroom environment by delivering specialized instruction tailored to their unique needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Georgia PSC certification with Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement.
• Experience working with students who have visual impairments.
• Skill in providing direct, individualized instructional support based on IEP goals.
• Strong collaboration abilities for working with teachers and school staff.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility adaptations in educational settings.
• Commitment to regular progress monitoring and communication.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 2 individualized 30-minute educational sessions per month to address IEP and academic objectives.
• Adapt and ensure accessibility of classroom materials and activities.
• Consult with classroom educators and staff to recommend adjustments and accommodations, including assistive technology.
• Track student progress, provide feedback, and document services.
• Uphold all IEP compliance and special education requirements related to vision services.
• Serve as a resource for accessible instructional strategies and tools.
