Position Overview
We are seeking a consultative, customer-focused Enterprise Sales Engineer to anchor our technical pre-sales and infrastructure modernization portfolios across the DACH region. Moving far beyond traditional proof presentations, you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise architects and engineering leaders throughout the entire client lifecycle. You will map complex legacy systems into modern, API-driven DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM) topologies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role requires an engineer comfortable with Infrastructure-as-Code automation who can confidently align sophisticated backend technology options with hard business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Modernization Advisory: Lead high-impact technical discovery sessions to guide large enterprise accounts through complex cloud migrations, cloud native structures, and core DDI transformations.
- Proof-of-Value Engineering: Design and orchestrate rigorous Proof-of-Value (PoV) validation projects focused on automation outcomes, infrastructure resiliency, and API utility.
- Automation Framework Alignment: Support customer Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) strategies, building custom proof setups and integrations that embed BlueCat tools natively into popular configuration ecosystems.
- C-Suite Architecture Showcases: Conduct technical solution workshops, run architecture review gates, and present authoritative value propositions to diverse engineering squads and corporate executives.
- Cross-Department Lifecycle Collaboration: Partner alongside Sales directors, Professional Services, and Customer Success layers to monitor project health, manage deal statuses in **Salesforce CRM**, and secure expansion opportunities.
- Product Telemetry Feedback: Channel real-world enterprise requirements and API usability feedback straight to Product Management and Engineering divisions to shape long-term product roadmaps.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of verified professional history running Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, technical consulting, or customer-facing infrastructure roles.
- Deep foundational mastery of core network infrastructure operations, specifically including **DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) platforms**.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-grade topologies inside complex hybrid, public, and multi-cloud network environments.
- Hands-on technical familiarity with API-driven architectures, automated orchestration layers, and Linux/UNIX systems administration.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, optimized to simplify sophisticated network data into clear business priorities.
- Location Context: 100% remote-first operational infrastructure flexibility restricted exclusively to qualified sales engineering professionals permanently based inside Germany .
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior technical exposure utilizing AI-assisted operations, infrastructure intelligence systems, and real-time operational network analytics.
- Practical experience integrating core infrastructure platforms with major third-party cloud hyperscalers or enterprise IT operations software hubs.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related quantitative sciences.
