Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Day/Night Shifts (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex critical care patients including those requiring ECMO as a primary bedside responsibility without dedicated perfusion support
• Operate and monitor advanced mechanical circulatory and multi-organ support devices including ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters
• Float to all ICUs, TCUs, ED, and PACU departments and facilities as assigned based on unit need
• Provide bedside nursing care for cardiovascular, cardiothoracic surgery, and transplant patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver care aligned with an integrated critical care model encompassing cardiovascular, transplant, mechanical circulatory support, and multi-organ support therapies
• Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience
• ECMO experience within the last 6 months to 1 year, including experience as the primary bedside RN responsible for ECMO management
• Experience in CVICU, CTICU, or CCU settings; teaching hospital experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with VA ECMO, VV ECMO, and V-PA ECMO configurations; CRRT (NxStage); IABP (Teleflex); Impella; Ventricular Assist Devices; and Pulmonary Artery Catheters
• Experience with heart failure, cardiogenic shock, prostacyclin therapies, and cardiothoracic surgery recovery
• Experience with heart and/or lung transplant recovery, including bridge-to-transplant patients
• Simultaneous management of multiple support devices (e.g., ECMO + CRRT, ECMO + Impella, ECMO + IABP) and academic medical center experience
