Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday (8 AM – 5 PM), Friday (8 AM – 1 PM)
Position: Full-time / Part-time
Compensation: $25 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
Experience: Open to new graduates, but some experience is preferred (at least a year)

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

- Chairside Assistance
Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring the patient remains comfortable.
Anticipate the dentist’s needs by preparing necessary tools and materials ahead of time.
Mix and prepare dental materials such as impressions, fillings, and cements.
Ensure a smooth and efficient workflow to minimize patient wait times.
- Instrument Preparation & Sterilization
Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment after each use to prevent cross-contamination.
Set up and organize treatment rooms before and after procedures.
Follow OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control and sterilization.
- Dental X-Rays & Imaging
Take and develop dental X-rays using digital or traditional imaging techniques.
Position patients correctly to capture accurate images while minimizing radiation exposure.
Ensure X-rays are properly stored and labeled in patient records for dentist review.
-Post-Procedure Care & Patient Education
Provide patients with aftercare instructions for procedures such as extractions, fillings, and root canals.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Address patient concerns and answer questions related to dental treatments.
- Infection Control & Safety
Adhere to all infection control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Dispose of hazardous materials, such as used needles and biohazard waste, according to regulations.
Stay updated on the latest safety procedures to maintain a safe workplace for both staff and patients.
