The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the theory and application of asepsis and sterile technique to combine anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to facilitate a surgeon's performance. Being a rural hospital, the surgical tech fills many roles including the hospital's sterile processing, acquisition of equipment and supplies, and one-on-one contact with surgeons and instrument reps.
