ICU/MS/ED Float Pool Registered Nurse
This position involves floating between critical care units as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working in all three areas: ICU, Emergency Department, and Medical-Surgical. The schedule will depend on unit needs, with ratios varying by unit, typically 1:2 for ICU. All candidates should have experience as a traveler nurse and be willing to float as required. Weekly weekend shifts are part of the commitment, with every other weekend expected. Certifications must be submitted with the application. The role requires specific skills such as para/thoracentesis, intubation, and central line placement. Nurses will also manage ventilated patients and interpret and manage dysrhythmias. The position is within a rapidly responsive team structure, working alongside interdisciplinary support staff. A flu shot is required during flu season.
Experience: 2 years required License: Compact or state license in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; NIH and TNCC preferred
