Facilities Maintenance Technician

Facilities Maintenance TechnicianPro Resources is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a client in Auburn, IN. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with general maintenance experience and a strong electrical background. The technician will perform maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and work with plant electrical systems. Candidates with substation experience, breaker racking experience, and the ability to read and understand electrical schematics are highly desired.Shift and Compensation1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM Compensation: $52,000–$72,800 per yearJob DutiesPerform general maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and facilitiesTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and identify the cause of equipment problemsRead and understand plant electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and related documentationPerform electrical troubleshooting and repairsAssist with maintenance of plant electrical distribution systemsPerform preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systemsInspect equipment and assigned areas to identify maintenance needsWork safely while following LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and Environmental policiesComplete work orders and document maintenance activitiesCommunicate maintenance issues and repair status with supervisors, staff, and operatorsMaintain a clean and organized work areaRespond to maintenance needs in a timely mannerSupport a safe, team-oriented work environmentBackground ProfileHigh School Diploma or equivalent required2+ years of general or industrial maintenance experienceStrong electrical troubleshooting and repair experienceAbility to read and understand electrical schematicsExperience working with plant electrical systemsSubstation experience preferredExperience racking in/out electrical breakers preferredKnowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, or related equipment is a plusMechanical maintenance experience preferredPLC troubleshooting or robotic programming experience is a plusValid driver's license required for business travelAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment
