Quality Inspector

Location: Painesville, OH
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $19 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect products using appropriate methods, including measurement tools and comparisons to standards or customer specifications.
• Verify that production line activities adhere to established standards and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis to determine the source of defects.
• Properly contain, label, and route non-conforming products for rework.
• Record inspection results and enter rework data into the quality database.
• Accurately count accepted products and enter them into inventory.
• Assist in creating PPAP documentation and performing first article inspections.
• Communicate quality control measures to the production team to enhance product consistency.
• Learn and operate additional inspection equipment such as dial indicators, optical comparators, and laser scanners.

Requirements & Skills:

• Understanding of English/metric units of measurement and tolerances on engineering drawings.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google email.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail with a results-driven mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Prior inspection experience strongly preferred.
