Video Production Manager Location: Louisville, KY Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year Skill Level: Mid – Senior Level Position Overview J&L Marketing is seeking a highly organized, creative Video Production Manager to lead our visual storytelling efforts. You will collaborate with our Videographer, Video Editor, and the broader marketing team to develop premium, performance-driven video content for digital advertising, social media, OTT/streaming campaigns, corporate branding, and client presentations. In this hands‑on role, you will oversee the full production lifecycle—concept development, pre‑production planning, on‑site execution, and final delivery—managing multiple projects simultaneously and communicating professionally under pressure. Key Responsibilities Production & Project Management Manage creative video teams and coordinate complex production workflows. Play a hands‑on role during video shoots, managing logistics, directing talent, and participating in shooting. Travel throughout the year for in‑person shoots and on‑location productions. Proactively problem‑solve and produce the highest quality final product within tight deadlines. Podcast Management & Production Lead end‑to‑end production of the corporate podcast: schedule, coordinate logistics, and ensure high‑quality audio/visual output. Outreach and guest coordination, maintaining a steady pipeline of engaging content. Manage recording process, oversee equipment setup, direct conversations, and coordinate with editing team to align episodes with brand standards. Lead and mentor the video team, fostering creative growth and technical excellence. Collaborate with marketing and clients to integrate video content into larger strategies. Navigate feedback and revisions with a solutions‑oriented mindset, ensuring broadcast‑quality deliverables. Research and introduce new creative directions, storytelling techniques, and industry tools (including AI‑assisted workflows). Qualifications & Requirements 5+ years of professional video production and management experience, preferably within an agency or high‑volume creative environment. Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in video storytelling, creative direction, and cross‑platform work. Expertise in on‑site production logistics and hands‑on experience shooting. Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) and familiarity with platforms like Artlist, Frame.io, and VO services. Proven leadership, mentorship, and team‑growth facilitation. Deep understanding of performance‑driven creative and video’s impact on engagement, leads, and conversions. Willingness to travel periodically for in‑person productions. Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
