Overview
MRI Technologist (Radiology) – Newark, NY, US
Travel assignment beginning 09/28/2026 for an estimated duration of weeks. Weekly pay range: 2,873 to 3,085 USD per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 4x10s, 10:30–20:30, Tuesday–Friday. Setting: hospital radiology department. This travel opportunity welcomes first-time travelers. On-site work with no on-call, weekends, or holidays. EPIC charting required or preferred.

Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of MRI exams (Brain, Spine— cervical/lumbar/thoracic, Head/Neck, Orbits, MRA/MRV, Abdomen, Pelvis, MSK, Chest) according to protocol
- Prepare patients, establish IV access as needed, and administer or prepare contrast media with appropriate safety measures
- Position patients, select coils, operate GE MRI scanners, and ensure image quality with correct sequences
- Monitor patients during scanning, manage safety procedures, and follow isolation precautions as required
- Verify orders, review prior imaging, and document procedures in EPIC; coordinate with radiologists and other team members
- May float to related sites within scope; confirm site-specific coverage during interview

Requirements
- NY state license required in hand upon start
- ARRT (R) certification and MRI certification; BLS required
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience
- EPIC charting experience required or strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital radiology setting with adult and pediatric patients
- On-site travel eligibility; first-time travelers accepted
- Preferred: trauma Level I/II and community hospital experience; familiarity with PACS and surface coils
