Barista (Part-time)

Job DescriptionThe Barista provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all guests by taking orders, making recommendations when appropriate, processing payments, and serving food or beverages to customers at the counter, table or drive through window. The Barista must be able to interact with customers in a polite and respectful manner. This role performs other duties in the areas of food and final order preparation including preparing beverages and arranging food items. Must be available to work weekends, mornings, nights and holidays.Essential/Primary Duties:Promotes, works, and acts in a manner consistent with company policiesCalls back customer orders in a friendly mannerReceives and processes guest paymentsPrepares or serves hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teasTakes guest orders and conveys them to other employees for preparationCleans or sanitizes work areas, utensils, or equipmentDescribes menu items to guests or suggests products that might appeal to themCleans service or seating areasServes prepared foods, such as muffins, oatmeal, or bagels etc.Prepares or serves menu items, such as sandwiches or salads.Sets up or restocks product displaysWeighs, grinds, or packs coffee beans for guestsStocks guest service stations with paper products or beverage preparation itemsWraps, labels, or dates food items for saleProvides guest with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptionsTakes out garbageOrders, receives, or stocks supplies or retail productsSlices fruits, vegetables, desserts, or meats for use in food serviceChecks temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioningDemonstrates the use of retail equipment, such as espresso machinesCreates signs to advertise store products or eventsAttends all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvementSecondary Duties:Coordinates with and assists fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurantEducation and/or Experience:High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceCompetency/Skill Requirements:Excellent conversationalist with a pleasant and professional personalityStrong attention to detail skillsProficient decision-making and multi-tasking skillsExcellent listening and oral communication skillsBasic computer skills to execute daily tasksWorking knowledge about all equipment associated with the locationSupervisory Responsibilities:No supervisory responsibilitiesAbout UsFounded in 1915, Midmark Corporation is the only company transforming healthcare experiences through innovative design within the medical, dental and animal health environments.
