Facilities Support Technician

Facilities Support TechnicianThe Facilities Support Tech will be responsible for supporting all departments including Cork & White, Lock & Key, the Furniture Warehouse, the Signage Department, and Conference Center Services as needed. This individual will be supplied with their own tools and equipment. The technician must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines with high accuracy.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Respond to requests for room setups per daily scheduleFollow all company procedures, policies, and rulesDeliver and setup additional furniture as necessaryKnockdown and properly store furniture as necessaryMaintain daily tracking log sheetMaintain clean working areaInstalling new cork and white boardsRemoval, relocation and reinstallation of cork and white boardsRemoval and disposal of damaged cork and white boardsHanging of pictures, plaques, and bannersInstallation of under the desk keyboard trayWall mounting of large or oversized white and cork boardsCleanup of work area after installationTrack and report time spent on work ordersHang other customer items as necessaryRespond to requests for materials in support of facilities maintenance contract personnel and vendorsLocate requested material in automated inventory systemInitiate system query and clarifies proper selection of item with requestor as necessaryVerify that the queried item is available by locating it in the warehousePick material for distributionAssemble furniture i.e., Peds, desks, round tablesOperate a pallet jack, forklift, or flatbed when appropriate to pick, store, and transport materialCoordinate with Warehouse Lead, O&M Supervisor and purchasing to generate parts ordersNotify CAS, Warehouse Lead and O&M Supervisor when parts come in via electronic mailReceive material, check material against purchase order, packing slip, or bill of ladingOther duties as assignedTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Education and/ or Experience - High School Diploma / GED with 6 months – 1 year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - May be required to have a valid driver's license.Saturday - Wednesday, 6:30AM - 3:30PM.$18.00-$19.00 per hourAdditional RequirementsPainting experience is a requirement (minimum 1 year). Must be able to work independently on weekends. Hand tool experience desired - can be trained on the job.
