Watch Our Story: About Rex Moore Group, Inc. - YouTube Job Overview The Senior Skilled Trades Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, evaluating, and hiring high-quality talent for skilled trades and field leadership positions throughout Rex Moore. Positions may include Apprentices, Electrician Trainees, Journeymen, Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendents, and other specialized construction and technical roles. This position serves as a senior recruiting resource and strategic partner to hiring managers, field leadership, operations, and Human Resources. The Senior Skilled Trades Recruiter is expected to independently manage complex and high-priority recruiting assignments, develop innovative sourcing strategies, provide market intelligence, and build sustainable talent pipelines that support current and future workforce needs. In addition to full-cycle recruiting responsibilities, this position contributes to the development and continuous improvement of recruiting processes, systems, reporting, advertising strategies, and talent acquisition programs. The Senior Skilled Trades Recruiter may also provide guidance, training, and mentorship to other members of the recruiting team and serve as a subject matter resource for skilled trades recruiting. Key Responsibilities And Essential Tasks Independently manage full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades, field leadership, technical, and other assigned positions from initial workforce request through accepted offer and start date. Source, screen, interview, evaluate, and recommend candidates based on technical experience, qualifications, licensing/certification requirements, leadership capabilities, compensation expectations, geographic availability, and overall fit. Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill, high-volume, specialized, and geographically challenging positions. Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical field positions to support current projects, anticipated manpower requirements, and future company growth. Develop relationships with passive candidates and maintain ongoing communication with high-value prospects who may not be immediately available. Utilize multiple sourcing channels, including applicant tracking systems, job boards, indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, social media, resume databases, referrals, industry contacts, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, community colleges, military transition programs, workforce development organizations, and direct sourcing. Maintain a strong understanding of Rex Moore’s operations, projects, market sectors, geographic footprint, and workforce requirements in order to effectively communicate career opportunities to prospective candidates. Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and hiring process to provide a professional and positive candidate experience. Coordinate interviews, hiring decisions, compensation discussions, offer letters, pre-employment requirements, start dates, and other recruiting activities. Assist with onboarding activities and ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee. Respond to candidate inquiries submitted through the “Contact Us” form/recruiting team email address and direct them to appropriate team members. What's in it for You? Compensation $72,700 – $112,400 Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level. Work environment Active commercial jobsite under construction performing the following: Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, work boots and high viz vest/ shirt Working around energized equipment Working days, night, weekends, and overtime as required Willing and able to work in confined and/or small spaces Constant collaboration with fellow team members This role requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow LOCATION Rex Moore and affiliated offices are located throughout California and Nevada. Reporting Structure Reports to – Sr. Manager of Field recruiting Department – Human Resources Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible recruiting experience, with significant experience recruiting skilled trades, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or technical personnel. Demonstrated success recruiting difficult-to-fill and/or high-volume positions. Experience independently managing multiple requisitions, hiring managers, and recruiting priorities. Electrical construction recruiting experience is strongly preferred. Experience recruiting field leadership positions such as Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendents, or similar construction leadership positions required. Experience mentoring or training recruiters or serving as a senior recruiting resource preferred. Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruiting analytics, online sourcing platforms, and employment advertising required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant recruiting and industry experience may be considered. Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize HRIS, ATS, reporting, and other recruiting-related systems. Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to appropriately prioritize recruiting activities based on operational and project needs. Ability to build credibility and productive working relationships with field employees, candidates, Superintendents, Project Managers, operations leaders, executives, Human Resources, and other stakeholders. Strong consultative skills with the ability to advise and influence hiring managers while maintaining positive working relationships. Ability to communicate labor-market challenges and recruiting recommendations clearly and professionally to leadership. Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to effectively communicate Rex Moore’s employment opportunities and value proposition. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to recruiting challenges. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and with candidates from diverse professional and skilled trades backgrounds. High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information. Self-motivated, results-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while managing multiple priorities and changing workforce demands.
