Automation Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic or Industrial Electrician supports package sorting systems, including belt conveyors. Also known as Plant Mechanic or Industrial Mechanic, this role performs a broad range of maintenance activities to keep UPS package handling facilities operating efficiently. The work is fast‑paced and involves routine interaction with other operations employees. Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Location: 1620 Van Buren Dr, Easton, PA 18045, United States of America Department: Buildings and Systems Engineering Workdays: 5 consecutive days (Flexibility required to work occasional weekends & non-regular shifts, especially in peak season) Pay rate: $39.00 Key Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates. Troubleshoot, adjust and replace AC and DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, and PLC. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace pneumatic equipment such as puck sorters, flow splitters, diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses, and coils. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps. Perform welding of equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating. Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment. Requirements Grade 12 education or equivalent. Ability to receive and give instruction over radio in an industrial environment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in performing maintenance on conveyor belts is an asset. Knowledge of electrical and building schematics is an asset. Knowledge of keyboard and basic computer skills is an asset. Compensation and Benefits Paid training. Weekly pay via direct deposit—every Friday. Personal paid days off (eligibility requirements). Paid vacation: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, and 6 weeks after 25 years of service.
