Advance your career as a School Psychologist supporting Pre-K through 8th grade students in a dynamic district office environment near Arlington Heights, IL. This contract role offers the opportunity to focus on evaluation processes and essential student transitions, without the daily building-based duties typical of other school psychologist positions.

Key Qualifications:

• Illinois PEL and Psychologist license; those with pending credentials considered for travel roles
• Expertise in conducting student evaluations across varied age groups, ideally Pre-K through 8th grade
• Ability to lead domain meetings and facilitate evaluation planning for diverse caseloads
• Knowledge of the Early Intervention (EI) transition process, including conducting Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessments (TPBA)
• Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) processes and referral meeting participation
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the capacity to manage caseloads that are predominantly eval-based

Role Responsibilities:

• Run domain meetings to initiate and coordinate student evaluations
• Complete comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; last year, the caseload involved 63 evaluations
• Oversee the EI transition process, managing TPBA administration (averaging 17 annually)
• Attend MTSS referral meetings for individual student needs, providing key insights
• Serve primarily from the district office, with a focus on high-level testing, meetings, and transitions rather than daily student or staff support in buildings

Position Details:

• Standard hours: 7:45 AM - 3:30 PM
• Start as soon as possible and continue through June 19, 2027
• Work closely with district leadership and multidisciplinary teams
• Caseload tailored exclusively to evaluations, optimizing your assessment expertise
