Location: 2386 Summer Street – Stamford, Connecticut 06905. This is a hire‑ahead position and will require flexibility to work at and support all area Connecticut South branches including Stamford, Danbury, Fairfield, Norwalk, Orange, Port Chester, Shelton, West Haven, Westport. Job Summary Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. The Branch Manager builds, coaches, develops, leads, and motivates a team that delivers excellent client service, analyzes client needs, and recommends financial solutions to help Key clients achieve confidence in their financial wellness and reach their goals. The Branch Manager is accountable for branch operations and compliance, providing direction and guidance to the team on operational and regulatory procedures, ensuring compliance with operational, security, audit procedures, and timely completion of branch operational tasks. The Branch Manager leads the team through consistent execution of the Branch Playbook to deliver on Branch Goals, with a strong focus on acquiring and growing small business relationships and serving as a market leader in the local community. Essential Functions Embodies a strong client experience culture and is present with every client and teammate. Engages in outside calling to small business clients and delivers the full range of Key products and services. Develops centers of influence and networks in the community to identify prospective client referrals. Accounts for growing the business through retention, expansion, and acquisition tactics and leads the Branch team to success. Leads and develops the branch team, ensuring understanding of Key’s products, services, sales and service processes, and the competitive landscape. Facilitates strong partnerships within the branch team and with line‑of‑business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening current client relationships. Responsible for managing staffing and scheduling of direct reports and recruiting, interviewing, selecting and onboarding new teammates. Delivers a consistent, disciplined coaching and performance‑management process. Provides guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory, security and internal controls, including timely completion of all branch operations tasks. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required). Bachelor’s Degree (preferred). Work Experience 3+ years in a sales capacity with demonstrated ability to lead and coach a successful sales team (required). 3+ years of demonstrated small business deposit/credit experience and familiarity with small business operations (required). General understanding of financial statements and concepts (required). Demonstrated understanding of consumer credit including loan‑to‑value, debt‑to‑income and credit reports (required). Demonstrated ability to leverage Centers of Influence (COIs) to promote business (required). Experience influencing business partners, including Key Investment Services, Mortgage and Business Banking sales professionals (required). Strong public speaking and communication skills (required). Licenses and Certifications Notary License (preferred). Skills Lead by example and ensure consistent delivery of distinct service for clients. Knowledge of clients’ accounts and business and use sound judgment with transactions. Proactive client focus with preset appointments and quality conversations. Leadership that embraces change and continuous improvement and aligns change initiatives with organizational values. Strong work ethic and integrity. Excellent time‑management and prioritization skills. Guides and supports teammates through coaching and development plans. Builds and maintains strong connections with clients and partners to acquire new clients and retain existing ones. Manages day‑to‑day branch operations, transactions, compliance, security, and record keeping. Identifies and assesses potential risks in projects or tasks. Driving Requirements Operates a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license on a routine and frequent basis. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $69,000.00 – $105,000.00 annually. Eligibility for incentive compensation may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
