Data Center Commissioning Program ManagerThe SKAE JLL Data Center and Mission Critical Commissioning (Cx) group is looking for an exceptional Data Center Commissioning Program Manager to join our team to support our growth in the US and Canada data center market. This high visibility position will own and manage multiple Cx projects inclusive of Greenfield builds, existing facility expansions, and restorations, with projects ranging in size from 1MW – 25MW+. This role can be home based anywhere in the US if agreed between candidate and JLL, and candidate has access to a major airport.Position Responsibilities and Requirements:Possess strong fluency with the mission critical commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE commissioning requirements and guidelines.Expertise in planning and executing quality assessment of electrical and mechanical equipment/systems installation, equipment and system startup, pre-functional inspections, acceptance testing and associated commissioning activities.Demonstrated successful experience coordinating directly with End-users, General Contractors, sub-contractors, equipment suppliers, AHJs, Engineer of Record, and other stakeholders involved with the project execution for small, medium and large-scale critical facility construction and commissioning projects.Manage all facets of JLL's Commissioning scope by providing exceptional technical and project management services. In addition, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong management and technical leadership throughout the design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases of projects.Liaise with internal team members, outside consultants and contractors to lead cross functional teams on data center or mission critical commissioning projects.Protect JLL's contractual position and ensure our work meets contracted requirements.Develop or manage the development of Commissioning Plans and Commissioning Specifications.Publish and manage the project Commissioning Plana from design phase through project completion.Manage project commissioning activities, including:Develop project proposals in response to client RFPsIdentify internal and external team requirements to successfully execute project commissioning scopesDevelop and manage project budgets and financialsManage the development, review and approval of L1-L5 commissioning test scripts and proceduresAct as main point of contact with clients throughout project durationsProvide day-to-day direction to assigned internal team membersAct as the client's JLL point of escalation throughout project durationManage Commissioning focused Design Drawing, Specification and Submittal reviews.Schedule and lead project Commissioning kick-off meetings.Manage development of detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods-of-Procedures (MOPs) as may be required on projects.Possess strong proficiency in use of QA/QC and Cx software applications such as BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, Procore, and other related QA/QC and Cx applications.Additional ExpectationsWillingness and ability to travel overnight up to 40% across the USA and Canada. Travel durations typically do not exceed two-weeks and are typically two to three day durations.QualificationsA minimum of 10 years of relevant mission critical commissioning project management experience.An ABET accredited engineering or technology degree is preferred but equivalent industry experience is acceptable.Hold a Commissioning Professional certification from a recognized industry authority.PE and / or PMP designations are considered an asset but not required.Knowledge and experience in testing Utility transformers, UPS systems, Generators and associated automated paralleling switchgear, ATSs and STSs, Fuel Oil systems, PDUs, EPMS, BMS, Chillers, CRAHs, CRACs, AHUs and liquid cooling systems.Exceptional people management and team leadership skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong proficiency in MS Project, Word, Power Point and Excel.Experience working in a consultancy or owner organization is an assetThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
