Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,787 a week in all, a taxable rate of $29.24 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit. This travel assignment supports adult patients requiring complex critical care, including cardiovascular, trauma, neurological, surgical, and ventilator management. The role requires strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and intervention skills in a high-acuity intensive care environment.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) , Basic Life Support (BLS) , and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; travel nursing experience; compact state license in hand at submission; experience with charting systems.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level I or Level II trauma experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week; six weekend shifts are expected during the six-week schedule.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Patient ratios are 1:2. Clinical responsibilities include care of ventilated patients; cardiovascular and surgical intensive care; trauma and neurosurgical care; central line, arterial line, chest tube, external ventricular drain, and pulmonary artery line management; continuous intravenous sedation and paralytic management; vasoactive and cardiac drip titration; blood product administration; renal replacement therapy; intracranial pressure monitoring; interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias; post-cardiac surgery and post-neurosurgical care; and management of respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, acute kidney injury, multisystem organ dysfunction, and traumatic brain injury. Care is provided to adult patients with support from respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, social services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, intravenous therapy teams, and unit support staff.
