Clinical Supervisor and Mental Health Therapist

Thrive Ahead Co is seeking a Clinical Supervisor & Mental Health Therapist to join our practice ! This hybrid, in-person role is ideal for a licensed therapist (LCPC or LCSW) who’s passionate about relational, client-centered care and values working within an integrated therapy and wellness team. About the Role As a Clinical Supervisor & Mental Health Therapist, you’ll provide therapy sessions to adults while mentoring pre-licensed clinicians and supporting the ongoing development of our clinical team. You’ll focus primarily on direct client care while also contributing to clinical supervision, team leadership, internal workshops, and community outreach that reflects Thrive Ahead Co.’s mission and values. Compensation: $45–$55/hour (direct clinical care & supervision), $20–$25/hour (administrative/indirect tasks) Hours: Begins part-time with a clear path to full-time status Location: Hybrid with at least 15 in-person hours/week (Bucktown, Chicago) Reports to: Jenn Graus, LCPC and Practice Owner Client connection, collaboration, and meaningful mental health care. This means you’ll be providing 1:1 therapy sessions to adults, mentoring and supervising pre-licensed clinicians, supporting clinicians in skill development and case consultation, contributing to internal workshops and community outreach, maintaining thoughtful documentation, and participating in team meetings and shared projects that support whole-person wellness. You’ll support clients through a relational, strengths-based, and affirming approach to mental health while mentoring pre-licensed clinicians and collaborating closely with other wellness providers to offer truly integrated care. Whether you’re meeting 1:1 with clients, providing supervision and guidance to team members, co-facilitating internal workshops or community programs, or collaborating on treatment plans and referrals, your work will help clients build trust with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and feel supported within a connected, values-aligned team. Conduct 1:1 therapy sessions with adult clients, both in-person and via telehealth. Use evidence-based, client-centered approaches that are relational, neurodivergent-affirming, and LGBTQ+-affirming. Develop and maintain treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation. Communicate with clients’ care teams (PCPs, psychiatrists, schools, etc.) as needed to coordinate holistic care.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT

Co-develop or facilitate internal workshops, group programs, and community events. Engage in outreach and partnerships aligned with Thrive Ahead Co.’s mission. Contribute to team collaboration on referrals, care plans, and integrated wellness initiatives. Participate in networking, marketing, and professional development to grow your clinical niche and support the practice’s visibility.

CLINICAL SUPERVISING & TEAM LEADERSHIP

Provide weekly supervision to pre-licensed or provisionally licensed clinicians in both group and individual formats. Mentor and support team members in clinical skill development, onboarding, and case consultation. Help develop best practices for client care, documentation, retention, and overall team accountability. Participate in leadership meetings to provide clinical insight and shape the practice’s culture.
