Job Details Specialty: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical RN) Setting: Post-surgical inpatient unit Location: Dallas, TX 75243 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 - $1,420 Start Date: 05/25/2026 End Date: 08/24/2026 Unit Size: 22 beds Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5 with ancillary support EMR: Meditech Floating: May float within the facility as needed, including telemetry Job Requirements Active RN license Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required BLS and ACLS required Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and support a busy surgical patient census Strong adaptability, teamwork, and communication skills Orthopedic, spine, or PCU experience preferred Comfort working in a fast-paced Dallas healthcare environment with changing census demands Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care to post-surgical Med/Surg patients Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols Support recovery for orthopedic and spine surgery patients Document nursing care accurately and efficiently in the EMR Assist with patient education, mobility, pain management, and discharge readiness Adapt to a heavy midweek volume and deliver reliable care during busy night shifts Float as needed to support telemetry or related inpatient areas within the facility Apply now for this Med/Surg Registered Nurse travel job in Dallas, Texas, and join a supportive healthcare team today.
