What Makes Our Cath Lab Stand Out State-of-the-art technology and innovative cardiovascular care Multidisciplinary collaboration with cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesia providers Opportunities for professional growth, education, and specialty certifications Strong leadership support and a culture that values teamwork and critical thinking A fast-paced environment where you’ll make a direct impact on patient outcomes What You’ll Do Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Operate and troubleshoot hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, and procedural equipment Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safe recoveryAdminister and manage medications, drips, and sedation under physician direction Provide rapid, skilled interventions in emergent cardiac events Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care needs What We’re Looking For Education: Graduate from one of the following accredited education programs required: Registered Nurse (RN) Registered Radiology Technology (RTR) Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P) Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) Vascular Intervention (VI) Experience: If RN, one year of Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures experience, required. If EMT-P, two years of acute care hospital experience, required. If RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT or VI one year of experience, required. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN) – North Carolina Board of Nursing License; Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR) – ARRT Radiology; Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) credentialing/accreditation and/or Paramedic associate degree from an appropriately recognized Paramedic program; Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Cardiovascular Tech, and Vascular Intervention graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program . If the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) is not an RN, RTR with CI or VI certification, he/she must obtain their Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 24 months of hire for continued employment, required. Additional Skills (required) Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass yearly Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
