SUMMARY: Harrison Steel is hiring employees who want to train for jobs matched specifically to their skills. These individuals are responsible for helping process steel castings specific to our customers' specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties may include a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:material handlingcrane operation welding machining sand moldingquality controlgrinding Following work instructions QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Customer and quality focused Basic math & English reading skills Ability to solve simple problems Adhere to safety policies and practices High level of personal accountability and attention to detailPrevious manufacturing experience preferredWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, extreme heat and fumes or airborne particles, and is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. Also exposure to outdoor weather conditions, non-weather related extreme cold, water and humidity, and the risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. The usual noise level is very loud. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
