Mechanical Design Engineer Details:

• Direct hire position
• $ 80,000.00 / annually
• First shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

The Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with Project Engineering and/or a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop new conveying equipment and refine existing designs for both custom and standard bakery equipment. This role requires a combination of conceptual design, detailed drafting, and technical problem-solving to ensure high-quality, efficient equipment designs. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and innovative engineer looking to contribute to cutting-edge bakery equipment design in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual designs, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and arrangement drawings for conveyor and bakery equipment fabrication
• Ensure all drawings adhere to company design standards
• Create detailed layouts to verify machine tolerances and clearances
• Conduct and participate in design reviews
• Apply product knowledge and technical skills to address application challenges
• Complete assignments independently and within deadlines
• Perform motor sizing and structural integrity calculations

Mechanical Design Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (accredited program)
• 3-5 years of relevant design experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
