Job Overview Designed for pre-health students (Pre-PA, Pre-Med, or Pre-Nursing) seeking hands-on clinical hours, this position provides direct patient care experience and immersive exposure to clinical workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Accurately record patient histories and clinical notes in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Prepare injections, and assist physicians with procedures.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock examination room.
- Support efficient daily operations and front-to-back office communication in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Education/Background: undergrad students who have a healthcare based background in preferred.
- Experience: Entry-level candidates welcome; prior medical assisting experience is a plus.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred but not strictly required; phlebotomy certification or hands-on blood draw experience is an encouraged as well but not required. Medical Assistant Certification not required.
Hours: Part time
- Looking for students who are in school and are able to work 16-24 hours a week
- Ability to work Mondays and Wednesdays
