Medical Assistant

Job Description Job Description About the Position We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our busy family medicine practice. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills who enjoys providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities * Room patients and obtain vital signs * Document patient history and chief complaints in the electronic medical record (EMR) * Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits * Administer injections, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing as directed * Perform EKGs, ear irrigations, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice * Handle prescription refill requests and some patient phone messages * Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies * Follow HIPAA guidelines and infection control procedures * Work collaboratively with providers and office staff to ensure efficient patient care Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required * Completion of a Medical Assistant program * Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred but not required * Previous family medicine or primary care experience is preferred but not required * Experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred * Strong organizational and multitasking skills * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Reliable, professional, and able to work well in a team environment Benefits * Competitive pay based on experience * Paid time off * Paid holidays * Health insurance * Vision Insurance * Dental Insurance * 401k * Retirement plan (if applicable) * Supportive team environment * No weekends Company Description We are an established family practice office located in South Lyon, MI.
