Quality Control Specialist

Quality Control Specialist (Temp) Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 12 Months Contract Total Hours/week: 40.00 Shift: 1St Shift We are looking for a Quality Control Specialist to perform routine, accurate and timely testing of QC samples according to standard protocols and operating procedures. The role requires prioritizing daily workload and working somewhat independently, reporting results, and completing required documentation. Responsibilities Trains and becomes proficient in all required techniques, equipment operation, and software associated with testing, data analysis, and reporting. Complete all assigned QC tests under supervision according to protocols; prioritize workload and develop independent working skills. Analyze data and report test results, completing all required documentation and database entries. Calibrate and maintain equipment; report problems to QC supervisor or manager; maintain logs. Prepare supplies and reagents; assist with laboratory maintenance. Promote a safe work environment; provide recommendations on safety and participate in EHS programs; address corrective actions. Participate in assigned cross‑training. Perform other related duties as required. Maintain basic computer skills: MS Excel & Word. Have knowledge of general laboratory safety. Effective interpersonal skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Demonstrate ability to follow established policies & procedures. Demonstrate ability to keep neat, accurate, and complete records and logs. Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills. Qualifications Experience in a biotech lab environment preferred. Knowledge of flow cytometry and/or experience. Education BA/BS degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline; or related college coursework. #J-18808-Ljbffr
