The Kennel Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of dogs and cats by providing attentive animal care and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Working within a small team, this position involves feeding animals, cleaning kennels, administering medications, and monitoring basic health status to support overall veterinary care.
Must be outgoing , have a passion for animals and have a positive attitude!
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and feeding for dogs and cats
- Bathe dogs and trim their nails
- Clean and sanitize kennels to maintain a hygienic environment
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor animal health
- Collaborate with a small team of 2-5 staff members
- Observe and report any changes in animal behavior or condition
- interact and play with animals during play time
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in animal care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with animal handling
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures
- Strong teamwork skills
- Attention to detail
