About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing direct services and support to survivors of sexual and domestic violence, as well as to drive education and advocacy efforts for systemic change. The successful candidate will be a strategic and transformational leader, with a proven track record in strategic planning, implementation, and the ability to balance internal and external priorities. This role requires a leader who can center the needs of survivors, support staff well-being, and partner effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors. The Executive Director will be responsible for the organization's fiscal health, compliance, and operational excellence, and must have experience in fundraising and relationship management, with a focus on cultivating a diverse portfolio of support. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a strong background in nonprofit management, including staff supervision, and a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role demands a leader with a deep understanding of the issues surrounding domestic and sexual violence, and a commitment to trauma-informed practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in conflict resolution, and a leadership style that fosters a culture of respect, accountability, and psychological safety. While not all candidates will have every experience listed, the company values a candidate with a successful fundraising track record, and a background in trauma-informed leadership practice. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, and the ability to balance the demands of executive leadership with a focus on survivor-centered judgment is essential.
