Tax Manager Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee the Tax Department’s daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tax engagements.

- Manage and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.

- Conduct tax research, planning, and projections for high-value clients and complex entities.

- Supervise, train, and mentor team members, fostering professional development and continuous learning.

- Maintain and enhance client relationships by providing exceptional service, proactive communication, and strategic tax guidance.

- Identify and present opportunities to expand services with existing clients and attract new business.

- Oversee billing and client invoicing, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

- Stay current with federal and state tax regulations and communicate updates to the team and clients.

- Participate in community and networking events to represent and promote the firm.

- Provide input on process improvements and contribute to firm-wide initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Tax Manager Requirements:

- 5+ years of progressive tax accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA license strongly preferred.

- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong technical expertise in tax compliance, planning, and research.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and client service skills.

- Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software (experience with multiple platforms is a plus).

- High level of initiative, professionalism, and adaptability.

- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a desire to contribute to the firm’s growth.
