Staff Product Yield Enhancement Engineer, HBM

Overview As a Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) Engineer, you will work with a team responsible for taking next‑generation HBM devices from design to mass production, focusing on failure analysis of test, internal qualification, and RMA failures to improve product reliability and accelerate time to market. Responsibilities Perform electrical failure analysis and fault isolation using emission, laser techniques, and EOTPR. Characterize and model backend test, internal qualification, and RMA failure signatures. Apply various process failure analysis (PFA) and de‑processing techniques for failures. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of HBM technology, testing methodology, assembly technology, and fabrication process. Generate organized, timely failure‑analysis reports with clear causes and effects. Present and coordinate failure‑analysis findings with Management, Product, Process, Assembly, and Global Quality teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or chemistry. 2–5 years of semiconductor experience in yield and fault analysis. Computer‑aided layout and schematic experience. Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and VLSI design. Proficiency in scripting within a UNIX/Linux environment (e.g., Tcl, Bash, SHELL). Preferred: Master’s degree in EE or material science. Preferred: Experience performing fault isolation and failure analysis. Preferred: Extensive understanding of physical and logical design. Preferred: Understanding of package assembly and fabrication process. Preferred: Experience in reliability and quality analysis.
