**Job Description:**Position SummaryGuggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking experienced Analysts to join our Investment Banking Global Services team in Chicago. The Analyst will join our highly collaborative team responsible for providing advisory services to private equity firms and corporate clients with a strong emphasis on sell-side advisory engagements. The team focuses on high growth segments of the market. We believe junior talent development is critical to our strategy and this role is seen as a career-track position.Essential Job Functions* Perform financial analyses to support advisory transactions and highlight key takeaways* Develop working knowledge of multiple client sectors, monitor key industry drivers and assemble insights to support and enhance advisory services and new business development initiatives* Lead diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions* Lead development of relevant marketing memoranda, diligence exhibits and transaction artifacts* Anticipate potential deal challenges and elevate concerns through to team members in real time* Drive creation of strategic frameworks, tools and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firm* Actively participate in client meetings and drafting sessions* Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete group tasks more efficiently* Lean into client relationships through C-Suite level exposure* Apply understanding of macro factors related to client sectors and investment banking* Conduct “on the job” training, providing continuous, constructive feedback with goal of improving quality of analyst and intern work product* Actively participate in recruiting and training activities* Additional responsibilities as requestedPreferred Qualifications* Commitment to meet the demands of high volume and high-end client services* Capable of balancing and managing multiple priorities simultaneously* Effective communicator – verbal, written and virtual* Highly organized project manager capable of thriving in high velocity environments* Agile leader that can exercise sound judgement under pressure* Curious and resourceful businessperson with strong understanding of accounting and finance* Mature teammate with the ability to develop relationships with senior-level colleagues and clients* Desire to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial platform* Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookBasic Qualifications* Bachelor’s Degree required* 1-3 years of prior investment banking or equivalent M&A experience* Sell-side advisory experience a plus* SIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employmentGuggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm.
